Skirmisher Relocates to Texas

Skirmisher Publishing LLC has relocated from its former location in Springfield, Virginia to Spring Branch, Texas, about 40 miles northwest of San Antonio and in the heart of scenic Hill Country. The innovative game company is noted as the publisher of the Cthulhu Live 3rd Edition horror live-action role-playing game (LARP), a number of historic gaming reprints as well as some games inspired by them, and numerous d20/OGL products.

“We decided to relocate to Texas for a number of reasons, and it has been good for us in every way,” said Michael J. Varhola, the company’s publisher. “In addition to having outgrown the space available to us in Virginia, the Washington, D.C., metro area is very expensive and did not offer any particular benefits to us as a game publishing company. It is also pretty cool to now be living in a resort area in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.”

Skirmisher’s new headquarters include additional work and meeting space, indoor and outdoor game demonstration areas, and a small warehousing area for inventory and supplies. The company’s offices are available for meetings and other activities by appointment.

A number of notable game companies are located in the same general area, to include Steve Jackson Games, about 60 miles to the northeast in Austin.
